Body

Whereas, New York State Route 33 (NY 33) is a State Highway that is maintained by the New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) and;

Whereas, the extreme lack of any maintenance, landscaping and beatification of the exit ramps (off-ramps) and entrance ramps (on-ramps) are of great concern to the surrounding community, creating an aesthetically unpleasant view for those who utilize these ramps, as well as live near them and;

Whereas, it is the sole responsibility of the NYSDOT to address and maintain the overgrown weeds, grass, brush and other vegetation, in addition to the garbage, tree limbs or other debris that accumulate located on the off and on ramps of the NY 33 and;

Whereas, the current protocol and procedures set by the NY 33 and NYSDOT are not addressing any of these maintenance concerns regarding the exist and entrance ramps and;

Whereas, the current conditions of these unmaintained off ramps create a negative impact on the mental view of the community members who live in close proximity where these off ramps are a part of their neighborhood and visitors who utilize these ramps and;
